Let’s get started!
Using our ASVAB calculator is incredibly simple and user-friendly. You don’t need to be a tech wizard or math expert to get accurate results. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you get started:
Begin by inputting your scores from each of the ASVAB subtests into the calculator.
Note: AO (Assembling Objects) and VE (Verbal Expression) can be left blank. If you took the ASVAB in the P&P version, AO will be set to zero. VE will be calculated for you automatically.
Once all your scores are entered, simply click the “Submit” button. The calculator will instantly generate your AFQT score and filter which branches you qualify to enlist.
Enter your score:
Disclaimer:
While our ASVAB calculator estimates the AFQT score for your potential eligibility, it does not guarantee the score you will obtain because the final score can vary depending on test location and question difficulty. It’s also important to note that the calculator does not guarantee that you meet the requirements to join any military branch because the minimum requirements can change over time. It is recommended that you speak with your recruiter for the best and most accurate information.

Your ASVAB score report presents your scores in a summary table. The first row displays your standard scores for each subtest. Following that, you will find your line (composite) scores, which are used to determine qualifications for specific military jobs. The final row shows your AFQT score, which is crucial for determining your eligibility for enlistment in various military branches.

The ASVAB score is calculated based on your performance in each subtest. Your standard score is computed from your total correct answer for each subtest and then compared with the national reference group. Your AFQT score is derived from a combination of four subtests: Arithmetic Reasoning (AR), Mathematics Knowledge (MK), Word Knowledge (WK), and Paragraph Comprehension (PC). Line scores for specific military jobs are calculated using combinations of specific subtests according to the branch requirements.
